Thanks to your generous support, we’ve taken our first meaningful steps in bringing critical digital health education to vulnerable women in Rwanda. With €2,585 raised so far, we’ve launched the pilot phase of our project on a small but impactful scale.
Together with our local partner AVEGA, we’ve distributed the first 100 microSD memory cards containing audio-based health knowledge - 50 in rural Gisagara District and 50 in urban Gasabo District (Kimironko Sector). Early testing in the field shows that the cards are functioning well and the content is easy to access for the women who receive them.
The next big milestone is coming soon: a baseline survey in February 2026 will help us assess how the women interact with the cards, how useful they find the information, and what changes we can expect to measure after three months. This important evaluation will also inform new audio content that AVEGA is developing on topics like mental health promotion and prevention of non-communicable diseases.
