Dear Donors,
During the 2025 rainy season, several communities in central and southern Mexico were severely affected by flooding that damaged homes, schools, and university facilities. Thousands of students saw their academic activities disrupted due to the loss of equipment and learning materials, as well as the deterioration of classrooms and libraries. Two of the states where the Peraj program operates were among those impacted.
Thanks to the generous contributions received through GlobalGiving, along with the invaluable support of members of the university community who joined these efforts, we are pleased to share that we were able to provide a donation of educational materials. This contribution was directed to two key institutions supporting the recovery of the regions affected by last year’s floods: the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí, Tamazunchale Campus, and the Universidad Veracruzana. Through this support, we aim to strengthen local initiatives benefiting children, youth, and their communities.
The funds raised will provide:
None of this would have been possible without the trust of those who believe in the transformative power of education. Your support sends a clear message to the communities of Tamazunchale and Veracruz: they are not alone.
With gratitude,
Peraj México A.C.
