From Dreams to Degrees: Tertiary Education Fund

The From Dreams to Degrees: Tertiary Education Fund aims to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity by supporting deserving students to access tertiary education. Through this initiative, Chance4all seeks to empower young people from underprivileged backgrounds to pursue higher learning and ultimately contribute to the socio-economic development of their communities.This report provides an update on the progress of the project since the completion of the fundraising phase.

Since the launching and initial fundraising for the From Dreams to Degrees: Tertiary Education Fund (70780) during the July 2025 Giving Tuesday bonus day, the Chance4all team has made significant progress in moving the project into its implementation phase.

Key milestones achieved:

• Fundraising Completion: The fundraising target was not met but we raised enough funds to kick start the project.
• Development of Selection Framework: A comprehensive application and review process has been established to ensure fairness and transparency.
• Application Launch: We are now in the process of accepting applications from prospective students who meet the eligibility criteria.
• Awareness and Outreach: Information about the fund and application process will be disseminated through various networks to reach as many eligible candidates as possible.

Review and Selection Preparation:  We will set up an independent review committee to access the applications when the submission period closes.

Next Steps

In the coming weeks/months, the following activities are planned:

• Call for Applications 
• Application Review and Shortlisting: Evaluation of all applications based on academic merit, financial need, and personal motivation.
• Interviews and Final Selection based on funding: Shortlisted candidates will undergo interviews to ensure alignment with the program’s goals.
• Award and Disbursement: Successful candidates will receive funding support for tuition, materials, and other essential needs for their tertiary studies.

The From Dreams to Degrees: Tertiary Education Fund (70780) marks an important milestone in Chance4all’s mission to make higher education attainable for all. We are encouraged by the enthusiasm and engagement received so far and look forward to announcing the first cohort of scholarship recipients soon.
