Severely malnourished children in Gaza urgently need nutritious food-and so do their families. Rebuilding Alliance's long-time partner, Ard El Insan pediatric group, is treating these children with special supplements. We ask your help to deliver emergency food parcels every two weeks to the families of 500 severely malnourished children. Though expensive, so far Rebuilding Alliance delivered food parcels directly to 491 families of the most severely affected children -help feed them again.
"I fear that we are facing an exponential increase in malnutrition for children," said Dr. Akihiro Seita, the director of health for UNRWA on July 11, 2025. UNICEF estimates over 71,000 are at risk of severe malnutrition and has over 5000 now in clinics. Families struggle to find or afford enough nutritious food. Doctors Without Borders says that one out of every five pregnant or nursing women in Gaza is in danger of dying from malnutrition. We need your help to provide life-saving assistance.
Malnutrition in Gaza must be treated NOW. Here's how: (1) Each day, our trusted supplier buys healthy food in local markets (2) Our partner, Ard El Insan Pediatrics Association provides a list of 700 parents of acutely malnourished children (3) we call them to ask them to arrange next day pickup/delivery. Note: We do not pay money changers- our supplier pays producers through bank transfers. Your recurring donation will help children and families step back from life-threatening malnutrition.
Nutritional recovery boosts immunity and resistance to infections. Treating malnutrition, especially in children, can have long-term benefits, by helping them with their growth and development, and avoiding critical diseases such as anaemia, goiter, rickets, diabetes, heart disease, etc. This fosters resilience. In addition to the health benefits, treating malnutrition has a positive social and economic impact in the long run by allowing people to become productive members of society, save lives
