Introduction
Ghana is struggling and for those communities outside the city and more rural the situation is even worse. One school we work with started out with a passionate headteacher responsible for a building (school) that has no power, no doors or windows. With limited stationery and furniture and staff underpaid they don't show up. It is a real battle to keep a school going every day but the students still arrive every day and sit and wait. The head is passionate but needs help to turn things around

Our project is working to help fund the local schools and build sustainable income generation for them to succeed and teach the children. The running costs for this project are $2850 per month and it costs $100 to feed 50 children a cooked meal per day.

We aim to have a school that has good resources and teaching standards to provide a good basic primary education to over 300 local students. We have only managed to raise $60 for this project so far and have a really long way to go to reach our target.
Please remember for every donation up to $50 is matched by 50% for GlobalGiving from 4-8th April 2020

Working with the head a gift to this project will help fund the furniture, stationery, learning materials and staff to get this school back on its feet and running successful. Once at this stage we will work with the school to implement local income generation projects that can be used to help fund the running of the school and to ensure they are able to educate all the children of the community. We have managed to raise $60 so far but still have a very long way to go!
