Introduction
Schools are under funded and teachers often don't turn up even though the students do, there is no or little learning resources available and limited money to pay teaching staff in the rural areas of Ghana.

One school we work with started out with a passionate headteacher responsible for a building (school) that has no power, no doors or windows. With limited stationery and furniture and staff underpaid they don't show up it is a real battle to keep a school going every day but the students still arrive every day and sit and wait. The head is passionate but needs help to turn things around.
