We Change Lives . Helping young people from poorer backgrounds by funding a good education, vocational training, life skills and extra tuition. . We collaborate with the community to manage a purpose-built children's home where children are cared for by a small, dedicated team. . Medical, dental and eye care is provided for all our supported children, with a nutrition programme and various counselling programmes contributing to their overall well-being.
It is an unfortunate truth that life chances are all-too-often proportional to family income: the poorer a child's background, the worse their prospects. We transform the lives of children and young people from poorer backgrounds who would otherwise be denied a fair chance in life.
We address these children's needs by providing programmes embracing education and health, improvements to living conditions, school and college sponsorships and a range of other activities designed to advance their well-being and personal development. In doing so, we provide a firm foundation on which these children can build a good future for themselves and their families.
Trustees' biggest motivation for supporting children and young people in 2025 is that the young people will have an increased ability to thrive in a competitive world, due to the generosity of DCT's small but committed supporters.
