Give education to 60 vulnerable Roma children

READY FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!!!

Dear Supporters,

Over the past four months, we’ve had the joy and privilege of working with a group of 20 five-year-old children enrolled in our preschool program at the Educational Center NADEZ. These children attend the program five days a week, for four hours each day, where they are immersed in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

Our curriculum follows the standards of the National Program for Early Childhood Development and integrates STEM principles. Through this approach, children are strengthening their motor skills, enhancing their language and cognitive abilities, and developing healthy hygiene and work habits. Importantly, they are also learning to socialize and build friendships through play.

We are proud to share that, after nine months in the program, the children have made significant progress in understanding and speaking the Macedonian language—an essential milestone for their successful transition to elementary school. We also supported their parents through the school enrollment process, which takes place each May. As a result, all 20 children have been successfully enrolled and will begin elementary school this September!

In parallel with the children’s development, we’ve also been working closely with their parents. We conducted workshops focused on “Employment Opportunities, CV and Motivation Letter Writing, and Interview Preparation” as well as “Online Communication, Internet Use, and Cybersecurity.” A total of 20 mothers participated in these sessions, held in small groups. These valuable skills will help them pursue employment opportunities and move toward greater economic independence.

Additionally, we continue to provide daily individual advisory support to parents on topics such as parenting, accessing social and child protection services, and job opportunities.

Every day, the children receive free nutritious snacks and fresh fruit at the Center, ensuring they stay healthy and energized.

Empowering young minds

Dear supporters,

In the last 4 months, we have been working with the new group of five-year-old preschoolers. The children are attending the preschool program, 5 days a week for 4 hours a day at our Educational center Nadez. They have successfully passed through the adaptation period and started learning the Macedonian language. We enjoy every day following their progress.
Their adaptation and implementation of the program is being carried out according to the standards of the National Program for Early Childhood Development and the principles of STEM, through which children have been developing and improving their motor skills, developing and enriching speech and cognitive experience, creating a culture of hygiene and work habits, and have a chance to play and socialize with peers.
On a daily basis the children also receive free nutritious snacks or fruit at the Center.

Our program with the parents is something that we also pay special attention to. Workshops on the topic of Importance and significance of preschool upbringing and education for Roma children were realized. Also creative workshops were organized in November and December, with a focus on the child-parent relationship. The mere presence of parents raises awareness of how important their role, influence and dedication are in the life of every child.
Also an individual advisory support for the parents is being provided on a daily basis at our Center, especially on the topic of parenting, ensuring social and child protection rights and employment opportunities.

The New Year celebration at our Center was a joyful event for the children, and receiving Christmas packages brought so much happiness and smiles. We started 2025 with many wishes for progress and equal opportunities for all children and this journey would not be possible without the continued support of compassionate donors like you.
We are so encouraged by seeing that the work that we do is changing and transforming lives, thank you for being part of it. That is our greatest motivation to keep up with our work and reach our goal of providing support for a total of 60 new children this year. But we cannot do this without your support.

Transforming Lives Through Education

Welcoming new group of preschoolers

Dear supporters,

Thank you for helping to pave the way to a brighter and better future through education for the vulnerable children from Shuto Orizari.

From July we have welcomed our new group of five year old preschoolers, who were so exited having the chance to meet their new friends, learn and play. Despite all the challenges we face every day, having in consideration that these children had no chance to attend any early child development program before, they are successfully going through the adaptation period and start to learn the Macedonian language. The children also receive free daily healthy snack at the Centre and are learning from early age about the importance of consumption of healthy food. We enjoy every day following their progress.

The parents are receiving advisory support at our Centre on a daily basis, especially on the topic of parenting, ensuring social and child protection rights and employment opportunities.

We are more than happy that our “HOPE” family grows! The Centre is a place where these children are encouraged to dream bigger, work harder, and reach their full potential. The new 20 children, who have opportunity to join the Centre during the last months, as well as their families, brought so much joy and smiles. That is our greatest motivation to keep up with our work and reach our goal of providing support for total of 60 new children this year. But we cannot do this without your support.
