We are very excited to launch our 2016 Appeal today which aims to raise $5,000 for classroom materials in our schools for the rest of 2016 and the whole of 2017. Each $20 donated to this page is the equivalent of one child’s classroom materials needs for the school year. $500 will stock an average classroom size of 25 students.
As an additional bonus, for every $1 donated we will also plant one tree so with your help, all the classrooms will have the materials needed for the whole school year and 5,000 trees will be planted. Paper comes from trees and we use a lot of paper so this is our way of putting something back!
All Phoenix schools are free. However to empower the parents we ask that they supply the basics for their children which include notebooks and pencils so that they feel part of their child’s education process (our family sustainable plans help with these costs).
Phoenix covers all other costs including textbooks, art materials, exam papers and results sheets, educational games, extra notebooks, photocopies, teaching aids and materials, whiteboards, desks and chairs when necessary as well as classroom decoration and painting. The list is long though essential so please dig deep and donate to this page!
