Dear friends and supporters,
As winter in Nepal slowly moves toward its end, with about a month of cold weather still remaining, we would like to share a brief update from the ground.
This year marked an important step forward for our work. We expanded our project and overall programs to Tanahun district, establishing a contact office in Vimad. Through our Educare Program and related support initiatives, 16 new families in Tanahun received assistance during 2025, alongside continued support to families in our long-standing project areas.
Our sleeping bag initiative, which began immediately after the 2015 earthquake, remains close to our hearts. Over the years, we have distributed thousands of sleeping bags to families living in extreme hardship. This winter alone, we distributed 50 sleeping bags in Tanahun and nearly 25 sleeping bags in Kaski.
The primary beneficiaries continue to be single women with dependent children, many of whom come from the most marginalized and vulnerable sections of society. For them, a warm sleeping bag is not just protection from the cold, but a source of comfort, dignity, and reassurance during harsh winter nights.
As the season winds down, we remain grateful for your continued trust and support, which allows us to respond where the need is greatest and to expand our reach to new communities.
