In 2025 SolarBuddy went the distance! A grand total of 57,887 lights were distributed to communities living in energy poverty around the globe. How far do 57,887 lights go? If 57,887 people stood shoulder to shoulder, they would span approximately 28.9km long!

57,887 lights, results in a total of 306,855 lives impacted. We distributed lights to a whopping 25 countries and worked with 36 trusted and passionate distribution partners.

Thanks to your support, SolarBuddy recently, along with our trusted Distribution Partner, Cambodia Rural Students Trust (CRST) delivered life-changing solar light solutions to students and teachers in remote communities across Cambodia.

In Stung Treng Province, over 290km from Siem Reap, 820 SolarBuddy lights were distributed across seven rural schools. Alongside the distribution, students took part in interactive lessons focused on the environment and solar energy. They eagerly learned how to use and care for their lights and their excitement was unmistakable. For many of these learners, it was the first time they had access to reliable light at night. Students shared how this simple solution has given them the motivation and ability to study after dark, safely and consistently.

These moments remind us that access to clean, reliable light doesn’t just illuminate homes, it fuels education, health, and hope.
