The people of Haiti together contributed the land and their strong arms efforts carrying rocks, sand, cement, a labor of love while getting instruction from engineers from Plan Consult. Working together 20 cisterns is providing water for 5000 people in the northwest of Haiti.
Not only did we complete the cisterns, but the training was provided to maintain the water safe. We have joined hands across oceans, at multi dimensional issues, providing solutions in this instance 80,000 gallons of water ready for usage, we are touching 5000 and more lives.
We are ready to scale up this model of collaboration and trust that has made the partnership of rural farmers and the Lambi Fund of Haiti vibrant in the last twenty years. Enter the next decade with us in partnership to touch more lives in a positive development manner at which junction we can all say with dignity and honor that "we have done our best"
Thank you so much for being part of this project giving life, and giving water! let us envision the next project together as we make our way forward to a true democracy in Haiti. Then rural farmers will have not only their field, but their voice will matter and will reflect in the way they live.
Incremental as it is, we are growing and we see it in the face of our constituency, in their progress with individual business as well as common activities.
We thank you so much and wish you a peaceful Holiday season!
