"GIVE HOPE TO 40 CHILDREN TO HAVE A BETTER FUTURE"

During this reporting period, the older children remained in good health. However, the younger children, aged between seven (7) months and four (4) years, contracted chickenpox. A few other children experienced mild fever, but fortunately, there were no complications. One of the girls was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, prompting a series of blood tests and consultations with an endocrinologist. Additionally, a baby identified with congenital hearing loss was taken to an ENT specialist for aural toilette and an audiometry test. A follow-up examination for her right ear is scheduled.

In preparation for the rainy season and to prevent illnesses such as colds, flu, fever, and cough, twenty-five (25) older children received vaccinations against influenza, measles, and rubella. Vaccinations for children still recovering from illness will be administered before the end of June, and babies will receive theirs in July.

Due to the chickenpox outbreak, the children were isolated for nearly a month and unable to fully enjoy their summer school break. They however enjoyed indoor activities such as movie screenings, singing, dancing, and art classes. A highlight of the period was an educational field trip in May, generously sponsored by an organization. All twenty-seven (27) children, aged two years old and seven months old (2.7) to twelve (12) years, participated in an immersive experience at a mall exhibit showcasing the seven continents. They explored diverse cultures, landmarks, and traditions, and took part in fun, hands-on activities such as baking cookies, soap making, and creating fragrances. Their joy and excitement were clearly visible throughout the event.

As the new school year approaches, twenty-one (21) children have been enrolled in educational programs ranging from Day Care to High School. Among them is a single twelve (12) year old boy attending high school, and we are hopeful that his adoption process will move forward this year. School uniforms, supplies, and backpacks have all been prepared for the class opening on June 16, 2025. In total, thirty-five (35) children, aged four (4) months to twelve (12) years, nourished and fed with essential food, milk, fruits, and vitamins, significantly aiding their recovery and overall well-being.
