Children in Gaza and Northwest Syria live in extremely difficult conditions, especially in displacement camps. They face numerous challenges, including lack of protection, limited access to education and healthcare, and many other hardships. Most of their parents are unemployed, making it impossible to secure basic needs. Our recent needs assessments revealed a critical shortage of winter clothing, with many children lacking jackets or even shoes to protect them from the cold. #Givingtuesday2025
Families in Gaza and Northwest Syria face harsh winter with little heating, warm clothing, or basic necessities. Children and elderly risk illness and cold. Many households, affected by displacement and unemployment, cannot meet these essential winter needs. Immediate support is crucial to protect the most vulnerable from severe winter hardships.
This project provides immediate winter relief to vulnerable families in Gaza and Northwest Syria by distributing firewood, warm clothing, blankets, and essential winter supplies. By meeting these basic needs, it protects children and the elderly from cold-related illnesses, reduces suffering, and restores a sense of safety and dignity to families struggling amid harsh winter conditions.
By providing vulnerable families with firewood, warm clothing, blankets, and essential winter supplies, this project not only meets immediate needs but also strengthens resilience against future crises. Children and the elderly are better protected from cold-related illnesses, families experience less stress and hardship, and communities gain a greater sense of stability and hope during harsh winters.
