Dear Supporter,
We’re back with another quarterly update—and we’re so grateful to have you with us as we push forward in the fight against the global climate crisis.
This past quarter, we’ve continued to strengthen our focus on localised solutions with global impact. While climate change feels like a vast, complex issue (and it is), the power of this program lies in how we address it—one community, one project, one action at a time.
In South Africa, we've expanded our Clean Rise Initiative, which is providing solar-powered boreholes to schools and community gardens. Access to clean water is a climate justice issue, and these boreholes are already making a measurable difference—reducing reliance on unstable municipal water systems and helping communities adapt to more frequent droughts.
Meanwhile, in Uganda, we’re scaling up tree planting programs that focus not just on carbon capture but also on food security. By prioritising fruit-bearing and indigenous trees, we’re helping communities adapt to climate impacts while improving local nutrition and biodiversity.
We’ve also been thrilled to support local climate education workshops in both Africa and Southeast Asia, where young people are being equipped to lead environmental change in their own communities. From seed-saving techniques to permaculture, these workshops are sparking innovation at the grassroots level.
Your support fuels all of this. Every donation allows us to scale faster, reach further, and equip communities with the tools they need to both adapt to and fight against the climate crisis.
What’s next?
A new water-saving agricultural pilot in Kenya
Expanding our Living Sea Walls project to mitigate coastal erosion
More solar power solutions for off-grid schools
The climate crisis can feel overwhelming—but together, we’re proving that people-powered change is real, effective, and urgent.
Thank you for standing with us.
With hope and gratitude,
The Action Change Team
