I want to share something truly special with you. Something that has been growing quietly, thoughtfully, and is now ready to change lives in ways we’ve never done before.
Our clean water journey in Kenya has always been close to our hearts. From the earliest days, when we installed boreholes and basic systems in schools and communities, you helped us bring dignity to people who once saw clean water as an unreachable luxury. Together, we’ve witnessed remarkable change. Children are healthier. Families are stronger. Entire communities are moving forward.
But today, we stand at the beginning of something new. A different kind of solution. And it’s happening because of everything we’ve learned so far.
We’ve taken the lessons from our work in South Africa, where we’ve been building solar-powered, community-owned water systems in some of Cape Town’s most water-scarce areas. That approach is now shaping a new initiative in Kenya. For the first time, we are bringing a rainwater harvesting model to communities living in the informal settlements of Mombasa.
This is a place where thousands of people live without reliable access to clean water. But rather than waiting for large infrastructure or outside systems to solve the crisis, we are turning to nature itself. We are capturing the rain, storing it safely, and making it last through dry seasons. Schools, health clinics, and families will now have access to safe water through a simple, sustainable system that they can maintain themselves.
This isn’t just a change in technology. It’s a shift in mindset. No more long walks to unsafe wells. No more missing school because there is no water to wash or cook. No more waiting for someone else to provide a solution. The solution is already here, and the community owns it.
The energy on the ground is electric. Local teams are leading. Roofs are being prepped. Storage tanks are being mapped. The rain is coming, and this time, we are ready to catch every drop.
You helped make this moment possible. You believed that everyone, no matter where they live, deserves access to clean water. And now, because of that belief, a new chapter is opening in Kenya. One filled with pride, dignity, and lasting change. We now begin our fundraising to make this possible!
Thank you for standing with us and stay tuned. Thank you for being part of this story.
