Project Report | Oct 30, 2025
New recycling facilities and market gardens

Plastic waste awaiting processing
Plastic waste awaiting processing

Hello Friends,

It's been another busy 3 months in the riverside communities in Nairobi! Our Kenyan partners continue to work with more than 50 community youth and women's organisations to continue the excellent work in removing the waste from the urban rivers, and cleaning up their riverside communities.

At the same time, our local partners have been working on new and improved waste recycling facilities. The community ovens and cooking facilities that use the combustible organic waste (like wood) continue from strength to strength - the bread they produce is a real hit with local children! And we've also been working on more efficient plastic recycling machinery, to repurpose all the waste plastic material from the ricers and riversides into useful products, like paving slabs and fence posts.

All of this work is really helped by your continuing support, so - as ever - if you're able to share this project with friends and family, the riverside communities of Nairobi, our Kenyan partners and we would be very grateful

Best regards until the next time

Bernie
