Greetings from Gulu!
It's a beautiful day here in Uganda. The sun is shining, as it usually is, and The Ribe Project is seeing firsthand what a difference assisting women makes in their lives.
The recipients of our microfinance loans continue to thrive, growing their businesses and working hard to achieve personal success in fulfilling their dreams. It has been exciting to watch our artisans make informed business decisions and adjust plans as needed to achieve a more successful outcome. These women are truly amazing, and their longtime dreams are coming true thanks to your generosity!
Eveline is a great example of what we are witnessing. Eveline's loan request was to assist in renting vacant land around her home, to farm. Knowing that preparation of the land, planting, and seasonal growth would create a long delay in any income being earned, she first invested in two goats. Those two goats have given birth to two more goats. By selling the milk, she has created a small income stream to help support her family while the farming operation continues. Eveline, her husband, and children continue to tend to their growing crops each day and have so far harvested a crop of groundnuts, have a plot of corn that is almost ready for picking, and beans approaching harvest! Her family is thriving with the two older boys now attending school, and the baby is healthy and growing.
All of this to say, THANK YOU! The Ribe Project knows that investing in women is the key to strong and healthy families. We are currently raising funds to allow us to offer a second round of loans to more women in the area. We hope you will join us in this big task. Your donations are truly changing lives in a generational way!
Apwoyo matek,
Brett Krieble
