We cannot thank you enough for your generous donation to GlobalGiving’s Haiti Crisis Relief Fund. Donations continue to be crucial in the region, as Haiti continues to face a rapidly worsening crisis spanning political, security, humanitarian, and public health spheres. Our community-led partners are leading initiatives that provide food security, medical care, and housing, in addition to relief and recovery support after Hurricane Melissa swept through in November.

In 2025, donations from the Haiti Crisis Relief Fund have supported five grants to community-led nonprofit organizations at the forefront of this crisis.

Here is a quote from one of the recipient organizations, CSHAN

“This invaluable assistance comes at a critical time as we tirelessly work to support communities affected by violence, famine, and natural disasters in Haiti. With your support, we will be able to provide immediate food assistance, improve access to nutrition health services, and strengthen our community aid programs.”

-Concorde Haitienne de Sécurité Alimentaire et Nutritionnelle - CHSAN

Here is a short description of some of the life-saving work you’ve supported:

  • The Haitian Women’s Collective is utilizing funds to support organizations in the southern region impacted by Hurricane Melissa, as well as supporting women living in shelters after being displaced from their homes due to gender-based violence through essential healthcare, trauma-informed counseling, and pathways to economic independence.
  • Sonje Ayiti Organization is supporting displaced children within Haiti with additional opportunities for education, economic opportunities, food security, and clean water. The number of children displaced by violence in Haiti has almost doubled in the past year, and many schools are being used as shelters - further disrupting education. Sonje Ayiti aims to provide children with an equal chance to access quality education through student scholarships.
  • Concorde Haitienne de Securite Alimentaire et Nutritionnelle - CHSANis addressing urgent needs in Grand’Anse by purchasing food, providing clean water, improving nutrition health services, and strengthening their community aid programs. CHSAN’s programming is incredibly impactful as nearly 50% of the population in Haiti faces food insecurity.
  • Fondation Tous Ensemblecontinues to provide services to people with disabilities, amputees, and vulnerable families in Haiti through their Prosthetics and Orthotics Lab in Les Cayes. Their services reach over 2 million people facing limited healthcare options, improving their quality of life to achieve the maximum level of functionality and autonomy.
  • Health Equity Internationalwill continue providing essential medical care to patients in Fonds de Blanc and surrounding areas, even as many other clinics have been forced to close due to ongoing conflict and targeting of the health sector.

Your support of the GlobalGiving Haiti Crisis Relief Fund provides a powerful surge of hope, care, and assistance to highly impactful responses that empower communities, and it means the people of Haiti get the critical resources they need.

With gratitude,

Nicole Bissell + the GlobalGiving Team

About GlobalGiving’s Disaster Response

When a disaster strikes, recovery efforts led by people who live and work in affected communities are often overlooked and underfunded. GlobalGiving is changing this reality. Since 2004, we've been shifting decision-making power to crises-affected communities through trust-based grantmaking and support.

We make it easy, quick, and safe to support people on the ground who understand needs in their communities better than anyone else.

They were there long before the news cameras arrived, and they’ll be there long after the cameras leave. They know how to make their communities more resilient to future disasters, and they’re already hard at work. GlobalGiving puts donations and grants directly into their hands. Because the status quo—which gives the vast majority of funding to a few large organizations—doesn’t make sense.
