An Update from our President, Ken Bever
We are saddened by the continued gang violence in Haiti which has not improved despite around 1,000 Multinational Security Support forces from Kenya and five other countries. On March 31, the gangs expanded outside of Port-au-Prince and attacked the police in Mirebalais, Haiti – a regional capital in the center of Haiti. Many families were forced to flee their homes after this tragic event. With three of our Christian schools in this region, we are working to help our sponsored children’s families and our staff continue to receive food during this crisis as we work on options to restart our education, school lunch, and health programs as soon as possible.
Despite all these challenges, our commitment to raising the next generation of leaders in Haiti is stronger than ever. You are a vital partner with us provide our children with a lifeline of hope – shining love and compassion in a very dark time. I so appreciate your prayers and partnership as our work has never been more critical.
