When crisis strikes, Hope for Haiti’s Children stands alongside those most in need—because waiting is not an option when families are hurting. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to respond quickly and decisively when two major crises unfolded in Haiti this year.
In March, escalating gang violence forced hundreds of families to flee their homes with little more than the clothes they were wearing. Displacement created immediate and urgent needs, especially for food. Because of donors like you, our team was able to mobilize rapidly and provide emergency food assistance to 558 displaced families, ensuring parents could feed their children during a time of fear and uncertainty. For many, this support meant stability in the middle of chaos and the reassurance that they had not been forgotten.
Later in the year, Hurricane Melissa brought severe flooding and damaging winds, destroying homes, livelihoods, and sources of food. Once again, your support made a tangible difference. Rather than offering short-term fixes alone, we focused on helping families regain long-term stability. Sixty families received goats or chickens, providing a sustainable source of food and income as they worked to rebuild their lives. In addition, 46 families received financial assistance to repair their homes, helping them move from unsafe conditions back into secure shelter.
Your donation did more than meet immediate needs—it helped families take meaningful steps toward recovery. Through timely, compassionate action, families were given practical resources, renewed stability, and the dignity to rebuild with hope. Thank you for standing with the people of Haiti when they needed it most.
