December was a busy and enthralling time, culminating in our end of year party. It is the highlight of our year, always. 2026 began on a quiet note due to the obvious January financial challenges, as we didn’t have enough funds to cover back-to-school, feeding, and everything else ongoing.
But in December 2025, we were excited to be sponsored for agriculture. Through our brothers at the Corefor, we received a fund to help us grow ¾ ha of maize and ½ ha of sugar beans. In the process, we are installing a functional irrigation system to serve us during the dry periods, usually from March until November each year. We want to be farming all year round. We need a 10 000L tank. The current 5000L tank can serve the residences, while the 10k L tank serves agriculture.
The school's needs have skyrocketed since we decided to start our own school. We are way short. We now need to raise at least $3000 a month to keep all the orphaned and vulnerable high school students in school. In our next report, we will share images of the high school we have come up with and the students present.
Thank you for your continued support as we seek to harvest something mid-April and the end of May for the sugar beans. By that time Onions and tomato farming should have begun!
