Thanks to your support, MADRE and our local partners at Taller de Vida can continue to offer our healing programs for former child soldiers and sexual violence survivors in Colombia. Through our workshops, young survivors of Colombia’s decades-long war receive restorative art therapy and counseling to help them recover from their traumas. What’s more, they benefit from a safe environment and are welcomed into an important community of support. Thank you for helping young women harmed by war to rebuild peaceful lives.

Here are some photos from a recent counseling and art therapy workshop in El Chocó, Colombia led by our local partner, Stella Duque, leader of Taller de Vida. Your support helped make this possible – thank you!

With you standing by our side, young women and girls harmed by decades of war in Colombia are healing through the art therapy and counseling sessions you make possible, like the ones pictured here. What’s more, they’re thriving in a vital community of support.
