The MedAcross Mobile Clinic project continues to provide free healthcare to thousands of people living in rural villages in southern Myanmar, areas where access to medical services is almost nonexistent. Thanks to a dedicated team made up of a doctor and a nurse, supported by basic diagnostic equipment and remote connections with international specialists, we have been able to deliver medical care and prevention programs in isolated communities, often offering many patients the very first medical visit of their lives.
In recent months, following the earthquake that struck the Mandalay region, the project has also expanded to these affected areas. New mobile clinics have been deployed to reach the most vulnerable communities left without any medical support. This intervention has strengthened our ability to respond quickly to emergencies, while maintaining regular healthcare and prevention activities in Kawthaung district.
The project is moving forward with very positive results and continues to grow, also thanks to the collaboration with local authorities. All of this is made possible by the generosity of our donors, who allow us to bring free medical care where it is most needed. To them goes our deepest gratitude.
