Project Report | Feb 4, 2026
Learning, Growth, and Digital Opportunity

By Simphiwe Ndlovu | Enterprise Computer Club Coordinator

During the last quarter, the Enterprise Computer Club continued to deliver computer literacy training to children from Ezulwini Homework using the GCF Global learning platform. A total of 20 children aged 9 to 13 were enrolled and completed seven Windows Basics lessons covering operating systems, mouse and keyboard use, ports and connections, and the distinction between software and hardware. To ensure safe and structured participation, Google Family Link accounts were created for all learners.

Throughout the reporting period, learners demonstrated steady improvement in mouse control, typing skills, and foundational computer knowledge. Although enrolment later reduced to 15 learners, 11 children successfully completed the course and were awarded Windows Basics certificates, which can be included in their school portfolios and future resumes.

During the school third term break, attendance increased significantly, reaching 25 learners. In response to the growing number of participants and varying skill levels, the program introduced a two-class structure consisting of theory classes for beginners and practical classes for learners who had been part of the club since the beginning of 2025 and had already received certification. Moving into 2026, enrolment increased further to 26 registered learners, with 11 certified to date.

Prior to the commencement of classes, learners completed an evaluation form to assess their computer understanding. The results indicated that 76.9% of learners demonstrated excellent computer knowledge, 53.8% showed excellent computer skills, and 92.3% displayed a positive attitude towards computers. In addition, 65.4% demonstrated a strong understanding of the types and functions of a computer, while a smaller group requires continued support.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our dedicated staff members, the supportive local community, and our international volunteers for their ongoing commitment and contribution. Their collective support remains essential to the success and sustainability of the Enterprise Computer Club.
