From 8th Septermber, Root Foundation Early Childhood Education program and other nursary, primary and secondary schools in Rwanda started the new Acadmic year 2025 - 2026.
This academic year started with the first terms and at Root Foundation there are some goal within the term.
The first one is to raise the learning standard by additing new school facilities and materials to boost children's performance and leraning motives. We are able to construct suings for the students, kitchen and also other hygine facilities being constructed.
The second goal is to introduce the feeding program which will help kids to sustain two meals (breakfast and lunch) per day from 8am to 3pm. We launched the program and the kids started getting lunch at our center as addition to the breakfast they were taking before.
Children and parents are really excited for the feeding program. This is because we have identified that it is sometimes difficult for our kids to get two meals per day due to poor. This program will not only prevent our little one malnutritional diseases but it will also help parents to get enough time to focus on their tasks as well as our school getting enough time to invest in extra curriculum activities of the little kids like singing, dancing, art, etc.
