Giving a Mother Hope Again

By James Leithart | Communication Director

Danjela is a young mother raising her three children alone after her husband abandoned the family. Without a job, without support, and with no financial stability, she found herself in a desperate situation. At one point, Danjela even considered placing her children in an orphanage because she could no longer provide for their basic needs.

In this difficult moment, Nehemiah Gateway Albania Gjirokastër stepped in to support her.
We began providing daily food, hygiene products, and regular food packages for the family.

Her three children — Klarisa (12 years old), Fatjona (10 years old), and Mili (9 years old) — were enrolled in the after-school program. Through this program, the children receive:

·       daily transportation from home to the center

·       a warm meal

·       help with homework

·       school supplies

·       clothing, shoes, and other basic needs

For Danjela, this support has brought tremendous relief. She says that her life has become much easier thanks to the help she receives. Unable to read or write herself, she could not assist her children with their schoolwork — but now they are supported and encouraged every day.

Most importantly, the children are happy to live with their mother and do not have to grow up in an orphanage.

Nehemiah Gateway Albania Gjirokastër has helped Danjela keep her family together — giving her hope, dignity, and a brighter future for her children.

Your support helps families in desperate situations find stability, hope, and a future together. Donate now to be part of stories like Danjela’s.
