Dear friends,
Thank you for standing by us as we continue to transform lives through the power of music. Your support has enabled us to reach new milestones in recent months, and we are excited to share some highlights.
A Young Violinist Shines Abroad
This summer, our talented young violinist Julia S. was awarded the Albéniz Foundation Scholarship and is attending the Summer Academy at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid. Her achievement reflects the dedication, passion, and potential of so many young musicians we serve.
Two New Orchestras Launching in September
With your help, we are preparing to welcome 60+ new children into our musical family. We’ve received generous instrument donations from the public (including violins, cellos, flutes, clarinets, saxophones, and trumpets) and support from incredible partners both local and global.
Performance Highlights
In June, we partnered with the Cyprus Chamber Orchestra for Bailando Al Compás, a joyful evening of music and movement. Earlier that month, six of our young musicians performed in Genoa, Italy at the 1st International Festival of Inclusive Youth Orchestras, an inspiring event promoting social inclusion through music. Our conductor Santiago Ossa Alzate also participated as one of the event's leaders. Special thanks to Alkionides Charity for supporting this life-changing experience.
Giving Back Through InMus
Through our Erasmus+ project InMus: From Youth to Professionalism, we’re equipping young musicians with essential job skills. We’ve completed three career-focused workshops and a job-shadowing phase for 20 participants, helping them experience real-world music environments.
We’ve also launched the InMus Video Tutorial Series on YouTube and published a free Employability Guide, both accessible via our website's Projects section and the official InMus YouTube channel. These resources are free and open to all, supporting young musicians across Europe and beyond.
Thank You
Your generosity makes all of this possible. Together, we are changing lives, one note at a time.
With gratitude,
The Sistema Cyprus Team
