Dear Friend,
Thank you for supporting this vital project to help street and slum children in Goa return to school. Your support gives hope to children who have spent their days on the streets instead of in classrooms. From the very beginning, we have committed to a vision rooted in dignity, resilience, and hope. Today, that vision is becoming reality. Concern for Women and Children is leading a long-term initiative that is more than a project; it’s a lifeline for communities torn apart by conflict.
Across many communities, poverty forces families to withdraw their children from school because they cannot afford fees, uniforms, or books. Many children come from poor and difficult backgrounds, slums and streets, where they are at risk of child labour and abuse and are not sure about their lives or living. As a result, thousands of children hawk goods on busy streets, where they face accidents, abuse, and exploitation.
At El Shaddai homes, shelters and centres, we provide these children with food, education and care. This project has promoted health, nutrition, increased emotional well-being, confidence and psychosocial well-being among these children. More than 500 children are accessing consistent meals and improved school attendance.
We make sure that these children will one day become someone great and have a brighter future ahead. None of this transformation would be possible without you. Your belief in the human spirit, your willingness to stand with us, and your trust in our shared ability to heal and rebuild have made this journey possible.
Thank you for believing in these children and their future.
With Gratitude
El Shaddai Family!
