African Angels Newsletter February 2026
February was a month full of love and new things.
On Valentine’s Day the whole school dressed up and supported the Grade 7 Entrepreneurs’ Day – they made over R2000 profit towards their end of year Farewell Dinner!
At African Angels we never stand still – we are always looking for improved methods of teaching to help our African Angels develop to reach their full potential. This month we introduced the Service Team to teach our Grade 7’s the value of service, and we added the White Rose Education Mathematics programme to our teachers’ toolbox, so our learners not only get the right answer, but actually understand how the mathematics works.
All of this and more is covered in our latest newsletter which you can read at this link: https://mailchi.mp/10f1addbc7d3/african-angels-feb-2026
If you would like to receive our newsletter directly in your email box, you can register here: http://eepurl.com/cozxxH
With Gratitude to all who make this possible.
Regards,
Lou and the African Angels Team

African Angels Newsletter January 2026
We couldn’t do what we do, without the support of our donors and we are extremely fortunate to have many individuals and companies who value the contribution we are making in the lives of the children in Chintsa East and surrounds.
The most personally connected donors are those who choose to sponsor a child. This sponsorship covers school fees, and in some cases, transport and hostel fees too. By reducing the financial burden of education on the children’s families, these sponsors not only have impact on a child’s education, but also free up funds for other essentials for the rest of their family.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the sponsors of the Grade 7 children, who at the end of last year, left African Angels to pursue their high school education. Thank you for walking alongside your African Angel throughout their primary school journey. Your contribution towards their success is indisputable!
An extra special THANK YOU to those who have chosen to continue their sponsorship and sponsor a new African Angel. Here’s to the next 7-year partnership!
In our latest newsletter we welcome new staff, say 'Thank You' for a donation of nine boxes of brand new books and share with you the benefits of volunteering at African Angels. Take a read and let us know your thoughts.
Yours in gratitude,
Lou and the team

African Angels November 2025 news
Welcome to our November news update!
The end of the school year is looming and with it, it brings a very busy time for all of our staff and children.
Exams and assessments are finished; the Grade 7s are buzzing with excitement for their School Leaving Dinner on Friday, and prize-giving is just around the corner.
We’ve also welcomed many visitors and volunteers, all supporting the work we do. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to visit us to deposit skills or donations, or both!
We also have Giving Tuesday on 2-3 December which is a great opportunity for donors to get their donations matched by GlobalGiving - making every cent or penny do more! Can you help us get donors on this day? Every donation between USD10 and 2,500 will be matched, giving us more bang for your bucks!
Thank you in advance for helping to spread the word and for your continued support of African Angels School - together we are changing the trajectory of these children's lives!
