Dear Sponsor,
We hope you all are doing well and we bring to you our report on women Empowerment. We are thankful for your kind donations towards our project which has been of tremendous help to many women and helped them to be independent.
These past two years has taken a toll on many people especially women due the Pandemic. As a result, it is seen that unemployment rates have risen to a huge extent. There are many women who want to do something for their family but are unable to because of lack of funds and this is because of poor financial condition of the family. The socioeconomic development of these women is the need of an hour. Through our community Centers and Shelters, we help such girls and women who are affected due to the COVID crisis and from poor communities to learn new skills through vocational trainings. The girls and women are taught skills like, tailoring, computers, weaving, bag making, computer skills Mehendi Art, and Crochet.
The vocational training classes are conducted in different batches. In the tailoring classes, the women are taught from the basics like cutting to stitching of blouses, dresses, etc. Each center has around 30 ladies pursuing the course each day. Around 20 ladies are engaged in Mehendi art work where we have the instructor teaches these women various Mehendi designing techniques. We also have spoken English classes under the Adult Literacy Programme and in this past three months we were able to have this literacy program for 260 women.
Life skills and capacity building talks make the girls and women to stress less and understand the importance of life and gaining knowledge about better entrepreneurship. These women are able to earn while sitting at home and have become example for other women of the area. These women do get the appreciation of many people and a strong message is being delivered in the conservative thinking society that women could do anything. This program is very successful towards women empowerment through sustainable livelihood.
Through your continued support many girls and women are getting uplifted and they are becoming self-reliant. We will be able to reach out to more such women so that they will be able to use this skill to start their own business or get better job opportunities. These women will not need to be dependent on anyone and can create jobs for themselves and others by selling their own products. Such women will not be only independent but feel independent. With her earnings she will not just earn for herself but attain economic sustainability for all and benefit societies and humanity at large. We at El Shaddai aim at providing basic education, vocational training, and training for self-employment to these women.
We still hope full to have enough funds soon from our supporters and friends to continue this project for the betterment of women in our area. If you would like to regularly be a part of our project, we encourage you to start a monthly recurring donation for a small amount, which will help in giving these women a better life.
