Fire incidents in Sindh, such as the Gul Plaza tragedy, have caused massive human, financial, and social loss, leaving families homeless, injured, or without livelihood sources. Vulnerable communities, including persons with disabilities and low-income households, are particularly affected.
Immediate relief and long-term support are critical to help families recover, rebuild, and regain stability. Through the GlobalGiving crowdfunding campaign, NDF Pakistan launched this project to provide urgent assistance to fire-affected families while supporting their gradual recovery.
1. Activities Implemented During Reporting Period
During the reporting period, NDF Pakistan implemented the following activities:
Rapid needs assessment in fire-affected areas
Distribution of essential relief items including food, clothing, and bedding
Provision of temporary shelters and hygiene kits
Assistance in rebuilding homes and repairing lost property
Psychosocial support for affected families
Community awareness on fire safety and prevention
4. Progress & Achievements
05 families assisted with emergency relief during small incidents in Sindh
11 households received clothing and bedding
11 households provided with food packages
02 homes supported with reconstruction or repair
Psychosocial support sessions conducted for 18 children and adults
