To begin, we want to share with you some wonderful news for the project: in 2025, we will be awarding scholarships to 4,007 girls and young women from rural areas, giving them the opportunity to continue their studies and, over time, improve their quality of life and that of their families. All of this is possible thanks to your contributions, your trust, and the affection you have for the "Scholarships for Girls" project. Together, we make a great team!
In the scholarship project, we aim to empower mothers and women who want to share their experiences and knowledge with the scholarship recipients in their communities—we rely on the Mentor Mothers.
Mentor Mothers are volunteer mothers or guardians willing to share topics such as the importance of personal hygiene, nutrition, self-esteem, and resilience.
The Mentor Mother is selected from among the mothers of the scholarship recipients, based on her commitment, leadership, and personal initiative. She is then trained through in-person sessions to strengthen her soft and hard skills. Later, with her personal and contextual input, she will pass on the skills and knowledge she has acquired to the scholarship recipients.
The impact a Mentor Mother has is highly significant among the girls and young women receiving scholarships. Because she lives in the community, she better understands the local context, problems, and resources—and especially the reality the girls face. This makes her talks and life experiences more relevant and effective.
Will you support us in continuing to provide scholarships and increasing the number of Mentor Mothers?
