The effect of striving despite obstacles to educate oneself and become a great professional is called perseverance. It is characterized by maintaining consistency and effort toward a goal, overcoming adversities, and developing resilience and a growth mindset that allows one to learn from failure.
In the Girl Scholarship Project, we trust and believe that by continuing their studies, girls will gain the freedom to form their own judgment and become independent, improving their future and, consequently, that of their families.
Of 100% of the scholarship recipients, 95% of young girls, upon completing basic education, choose careers in the field of formal education, and 5% choose to study technical careers.
Perseverance is a skill that can be trained and strengthened throughout life through different strategies. In the project, it is taught by example, demonstrating the importance of continuing to try and viewing difficulties as opportunities to learn—especially in the education of girls in vulnerable situations.
