With the monsoon and the torrential rain, there was an increase in the number of people who wanted our support to feed themselves and their families. Many daily wage workers couldn't commute because of the rains and survived only with 'manna khana'. Our field workers have already created a rapport with the regular children, elders and disabled who waits for our vehicle every day. Along with distributing food, field workers makes sure they share a piece of their hearts with the people. Through these interactions, many of their children started coming to our shelters for education and we could help a lot of them to get enrolled in schools by assisting them in getting government documents. A thoughtful act of serving food every day has paved way for many more services. We intend to increase the number of food packages we give out everyday, assessing the need for it.
