Hello,
To keep interest and enthusiasm up, the staff and volunteers surround the kids with positive people that not only care about their continuing academic progress, but also care about their physical and mental well-being. Along with our daily tutoring classes, English and Art, we have and like to encourage a variety of classes and workshops. In addition to these regular classes we have a stain glass class taught by one of our own alumni. We have a sewing class for the adolescents and moms as well as a newly added Decorative Gelatin class. We now have a robotic class. As many of you know, Soccer is the National sport and yes we have a team.
All this as well as emotional support for the community. We have a certified psychologist and a social worker on Staff. We have facilitated the mobile clinic to visit for general well checks as well as eye exams and dental checkups.
When we see a need, or an issue is brought to our attention, we try to help or resolve it. A collaborative process that includes the input and participation of the community members.
All this is possible from your continued support, for which we are beyond grateful. Ojala-Ninos has been in Operation for almost 15 years and we dont plan to stop.
Sincerely
Betty Lopez
