Over the past few months, both of our farms have been thriving, bringing us closer to our vision of self-sufficiency and sustainable food production. At Sigagula and Makrepeni, we have been successfully growing our own vegetables to support our feeding scheme, providing fresh, nutritious meals for the children in our care.
These harvests are more than just food; they represent a step toward independence and resilience. By producing our own vegetables, we reduce reliance on external suppliers, cut costs, and ensure that the children receive healthy meals every day.
Our next goal is to extend this success to our Nourish Node at Metsi, where we are currently setting up a new farm. Once established, this farm will further strengthen our capacity to provide nourishing meals and support the holistic well-being of the children we serve.
Through these initiatives, we are moving closer to our vision of a sustainable, off-the-grid operation, where communities can thrive, children can be fed, and environmental stewardship is practiced in every aspect of our work.
Your support helps make this vision possible. By investing in our farms, you are helping us grow food, opportunity, and hope — all from the ground up.
From seed to sustenance: every harvest brings us closer to a self-sufficient, sustainable future
