Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve helped around 650 children register their births since starting this vital program. Each registration means a girl gets a legal identity—a passport to education, healthcare, and protection.
Recently, donations have slowed, and as a result, we haven’t been able to help as many girls as we’d like. But we’re determined to keep going, and we’ve set a fundraising goal of $2,000. Once raised, we’ll be able to safely transport and register 200 more girls before the end of the year.
While registering a birth is free, the funds we raise cover the costs of a trusted local community member who accompanies the girls to the registration centre, completes the paperwork, and pays for safe bus or taxi transfers. Safety is our top priority, especially since many of these girls have faced tough challenges and remain vulnerable.
