In recent months, we’ve faced significant challenges in our fundraising efforts, forcing us to shift our focus towards securing the necessary resources to protect these magnificent creatures. The urgency of our mission has only increased with the recent classification of the African elephant as critically endangered.
While the plight of the rhino often dominates headlines, we must not overlook the escalating issue of elephant poaching across Africa. This crisis demands our attention and action.
Our commitment to this cause remains unwavering, but we are grappling with financial constraints. We urgently need to bolster our anti-poaching initiatives and continue our local outreach programs, which are crucial in enlisting community support in our fight against poaching.
We recently launched an ‘Adopt an Elephant’ program and have been exploring other potential funding avenues to ensure the long-term sustainability of our project. However, we still have a long way to go.
