Hello Supporters,
Rhino poaching has been for the past few years a very hot topic and attracted a lot of media attention therefore we have seen some amazing fundraisers and dedicated ambassadors promote the issue and fight for these amazing creatures. Sadly the Rhino is not the only animal attractive to poachers.
Our African Elephants are being poached at an alarming rate and the techniques used are getting more and more advanced every day, we have plans to fund rangers as nothing works better than boots on the ground however fundraising has been a little slow and so we have had to be resourceful and therefore your donations have recently purchased 3 additional cameras that are motion detective and alert us by SMS if someone not authorised is on the reserve.
These cameras are working well and our troops have managed to prevent four potential attacks over the last month, sadly we have seen an increase in attempts to access parks in other areas where we still need to install camera once we raise the funds, we have lots of work to continue to do and we are really excited to continue our efforts and fight this big fight to keep our elephants safe.
Thanks,
Tyrone
