Patient Relief Mission (PRM) exist to improve cancer care and management for female patients and their care-givers by providing hostel accommodation, transport to and from Uganda cancer institute (UCI) for treatment and three meals a day to those who come from rural areas in order to receive their treatment and who otherwise would have nowhere to stay in the city. PRM was founded with the aim of ending the needless suffering for cancer patients in Kampala, Uganda.
We have made improvements to the office of the facility. This is where administration of the hostel will be done.
We have also set up store and medicine room. This is where medication for the cancer patients will be kept.
We have also installed more cameras for extra security.
Success story
We have completed the installation of culverts to direct the flow of water and prevent the loss caused by landslides.
We have concluded with the construction of the shades around the facility.
We are finally done with the roofing of the hostel and the staff quarters. We have also improved the road network around the hostel by grading the roads and constant maintenance so as to make the hostel more accessible.
We look forward to finishing up with the compound in the months ahead as we prepare to receive the patients with support from our kind partners.
