Inspiring Girls International - Autumn 2025 Update

By Trish Carlin | Director of Operations, People & Finance

Hello Supporters and Friends,

As 2025 draws to a close, we are reflecting on a year filled with connection, creativity and collective impact. Every donation, share, and show of support from our GlobalGiving community has helped make this possible - thank you!

#ThisLittleGirlIsMe: Reaching Over 4 Million People

October saw the return of our flagship campaign #ThisLittleGirlIsMe, and what a response it received! More than 4 million people engaged with the campaign as women across the world shared photos of their younger selves, paired with heartfelt advice to the next generation.

This year’s campaign featured voices from bestselling authors, Olympians, world-renowned musicians, fashion icons and, perhaps most movingly, thousands of women from every walk of life. Their messages reminded girls everywhere that ambition is something to be celebrated - not silenced. Thank you to everyone who took part: your honesty, encouragement and visibility are changing the way girls see themselves and their futures.

A New Look for a Growing Movement

We are excited to have launched a brand new Inspiring Girls International website, offering visitors a clearer and more engaging view of our global work and how to support it. The updated site also includes the option to sign up for our international newsletter, where readers can keep up with inspiring stories and new opportunities to get involved.

International Youth Ambassadors Wrap Up a Powerful Year

Our 2025 International Youth Ambassador programme will conclude with a virtual graduation next month. This remarkable group of 17 girls - from across every region of our global network - took part in leaderHERship skills workshops, helped shape new campaign ideas for 2026, and led interviews with local role models now being shared across our social media platforms. Their candour, ideas and energy continue to shape the future of our movement.

Across Our Global Network

Inspiring Girls is powered by local teams who connect girls with role models in ways that are creative, culturally relevant, and inspiring. Here are just a few recent examples of the impact your support is making through our country teams:

  • Slovakia: A leading IT specialist led a dynamic workshop on careers in tech, encouraging girls to take up space in digital industries where women remain underrepresented.

  • Chile: Our team celebrated 8 years of inspiring girls with events that featured role model stories and open conversations about growing up, confidence and the gender pay gap.

  • Ecuador: The team hosted their first speed-networking event for girls in Machala, where students had the opportunity to connect with women from a wide range of careers and ask questions about their professional journeys.

  • Serbia: Students took part in workshops exploring climate change, environmental careers, and sustainable development, learning how girls can lead in shaping a greener future.

  • Australia: Girls at a Secondary College engaged in interactive sessions with role models from a variety of industries, helping them gain insight into different professional paths.

  • Germany: During election season, the team ran events to highlight the importance of female leadership and civic engagement, empowering girls to see themselves as future changemakers.

Why This Work Matters

Every conversation between a girl and a role model can open up new paths and possibilities. Whether in classrooms, company boardrooms, or community centres, our campaign is built on the belief that visibility leads to opportunity.

Your continued support - whether through a monthly donation, a one-off gift, or simply sharing our work - makes it possible for us to reach more girls, in more places, every year.

If you would like to connect with us, explore a partnership, or set up a fundraiser, please get in touch at hello@inspiring-girls.com or visit our new website.

We are especially excited to share that 2026 will mark the 10th anniversary of the Inspiring Girls campaign. We look forward to celebrating this milestone with you. More news to come in our next report!

With gratitude,
Trish and the Inspiring Girls International Team
