Dear Supporters,
Today’s wild horses in America are under a constant threat to be eliminated from the wild and sent straight to slaughter in Mexico. The number is estimated to be 45,000 in the wild and 45,000 in holding facilities. These horses are in desperate need of somewhere to go where they can be safe. Therefore, the need for more sanctuaries is bigger than ever before. Wild Horse Rescue Center is hoping to open the first wild horse sanctuary in Florida so we can help be a part of the solution to this urgent issue.
Central Florida would be the perfect place for a wild horse sanctuary with green grass, rolling hills, and beautiful weather. We have found a great property that would include a gorgeous sanctuary on 300 acres, wild horse tours for the public, a training facility for our horses, a wild horse museum, café, and a tack store. In an attempt to move to this property, we have had various fundraisers in the last three months to try to bring in funds for the move.
We ended the year with our annual Barn to Barn Christmas Ride. It was a great event with more than 30 horses and riders attending. The weather was beautiful, the food was good, and everyone had a great time.
We raised over $2,000, which was a great amount that ended the year on a good note!
We look forward to making 2019 another great year with you!
With Gratitude,
Wild Horse Rescue Center
