Changing Times at Wild Horse Rescue Center

By Brianne | Program Manager

Dear Supporters,

Due to the coronavirus, all of our international volunteers had to leave WHRC in the middle of March. This sudden change brought stress to us since all of our funding left, as well. WHRC has been relying on funds and help from the international volunteer program since 2013, and now we found ourselves without it. This has forced us to think outside the box when it comes to fundraising.

We held a T-Shirt fundraiser on Bonfire where we sold T-shirts. This was successful, and we hope to host another one in the future!

We also reached out to local newspapers and radio stations, and we were in two different news articles in the Daily Sun in the Villages, and in one article in the Orlando Sentinel. We were also on a radio show on Real Radio. We got a great response from all of these!

As times have changed at Wild Horse Rescue Center, we still carry on with our daily routine of caring for all the animals, just now with a few less people. We have received so much help from all kinds of ways to keep us afloat during this crisis, and we are sure we will make it to the other side standing. When this crisis is over, we are hoping to build our education center, museum, and tack store in the loft above our barn, which will give us new opportunities for ways to bring people to our center.

Thank you to all our fundraisers, supporters and donors!

With Gratitude,

USA Wild Mustangs
