VISION FOR THE FUTURE: QUARTERLY PROGRESS REPORT

Vision is one of the most precious gifts we can protect in a child. It is the window through which they learn, play, and navigate the world. Because of your unwavering commitment, we have spent this past quarter fighting to ensure that preventable vision loss does not steal the future of the children in our care.

While we celebrate the sight we have saved this quarter, we are also reminded of the work that remains. Your support is the difference between a life of darkness and a life of opportunity. Thank you for standing with us.

Our Impact This Quarter: Successes in Sight

During this reporting period, your contributions allowed us to provide direct medical intervention for children who were at risk of losing their vision.

Key Achievements:

Screening and Medication: We successfully supported four children with comprehensive eye screenings and the necessary medications to treat infections and progressive conditions. These early interventions are critical in "stopping blindness in its tracks."
A Success Story of Restoration: We are overjoyed to share a follow-up on a young boy who suffered a traumatic eye injury during an event months ago. At the time, his sight was in grave danger. Thanks to the sustained medical care funded by this project, we can officially report that his vision has been fully restored. Seeing him look at the world with clear eyes is the greatest reward for our collective efforts.

The Urgent Challenge: Eight Children Waiting

While we celebrate these victories, our mission faces a significant financial hurdle. Currently, we have eight children on our urgent waiting list who require specialized eye support, screenings, and treatments.

The Current Reality:

We are currently struggling to secure the funds necessary to provide for these eight children.
Every day that a child waits for eye care is a day their condition could worsen, potentially leading to permanent damage.
The cost of specialized eye care remains high, and our current resources are stretched to their limit.

Our goal is to ensure that no child on our waiting list is left in the dark. We are working tirelessly to bridge this gap, but we cannot do it without a renewed surge of support.

Looking Ahead: Bridging the Gap

In the coming quarter, our primary focus is clear: to raise the funds required to clear our waiting list and provide the eight children currently in need with the medical attention they deserve. We refuse to let funding be the reason a child loses their sight.

Dear Valued Supporters and Friends,

Thank you for your continued support of the Help Stop Blindness in Its Tracks for 700 Children initiative. This project aims to provide critical eye care, medications, and treatments to prevent blindness among vulnerable children. We are committed to updating you on our progress and challenges this quarter.

Project Update

Unfortunately, this quarter, we faced significant challenges due to insufficient funding. As a result, we were unable to provide the necessary support to needy families, including the provision of medication supplies and treatments for the children enrolled in our program. This has been a setback in our mission to safeguard the vision of 700 at-risk children.

Despite these challenges, our team remains dedicated to resuming and scaling our efforts as soon as resources become available. The children and their families are eagerly awaiting the restoration of these critical services.

Challenges and Needs

The primary obstacle this quarter has been low funding, which has directly impacted our ability to procure essential medication supplies and deliver treatments. To move forward, we urgently need financial support to:

Purchase eye care medications and supplies.
Facilitate access to professional medical treatments for the children.
Expand outreach to ensure all 700 children receive timely interventions.

Urgent Need for Support to Prevent Blindness

Dear Esteemed Partners & Supporters,

I send you warm greetings and deep appreciation for your ongoing commitment to helping us protect children from preventable blindness. Your support is invaluable to our mission.

Project Overview
Our project titled “Help Stop Blindness In Its Tracks For 700 Children” aims to identify, treat, and prevent blindness in vulnerable children by providing access to screening, eye care, and essential sight-saving interventions.

Progress and Challenges This Quarter
Regrettably, during the last quarter, we faced a significant challenge—a shortage of funds—which limited our capacity to assist children in urgent need. Specifically, we were unable to fund vital eye care for any of the children, including several needy boys who had already been identified and screened for treatment.

This pause has been distressing for both our team and the affected families, as timely intervention is crucial to preventing irreversible visual impairment and loss of educational opportunities for these children.

Moving Forward
Despite this setback, our commitment remains unwavering. We are doubling our efforts to mobilize resources, collaborate with partners, and engage our supporters and the community to ensure that children receive the care they desperately need.

With renewed funding, our immediate focus will be:
- Providing eye screenings and essential interventions for the targeted children.
- Prioritizing boys and girls who were unable to receive assistance last quarter.
- Conducting community awareness to prevent blindness and promote early detection.
