Pro Terra Sancta is present in Syria,country that's currently in political, economic and sanitary crisis, since 2006 with development and educational projects plus humanitarian support. There is an entire generation of children at risk of exploitation without accessing education health care, legal support and humanitarian assistance: Help Syrian Children supports vulnerable minors in Aleppo, Damascus and Latakia through education, psychosocial care and basic needs assistance.
Fourteen years of conflict and repeated shocks have left Syrian children exposed to violence, trauma and poverty. Schools, hospitals and homes are destroyed, while many minors are orphaned, disabled or unregistered. The February 2023 earthquake deepened this suffering: families survive without income or heating, and millions of children risk exclusion, exploitation and the loss of their basic human rights.
The project delivers education, psychological care, medical support and legal assistance to vulnerable children. It rehabilitates schools, repairs family homes, and provides food, fuel and hygiene kits. Working through trusted centers it empowers families, promotes inclusion, and gives every child safety and learning. It repairs damaged homes, supports teachers, supplies food and hygiene kits, and assists mothers to regain income, transforming emergency support into long-term recovery and hope.
Help Syrian Children builds a foundation for recovery and peace. Children regain access to education, health and legal identity; families achieve stability and income; inclusive schools for disabled children grow stronger. Over time, empowered youth and resilient communities become drivers of reconciliation and sustainable development in Syria.
