Sometimes in conservation we wonder... What does success look like? The answer varies from location to location, but we all know how it feels, it feels like this: Thank you for your support, we had a 90%!!!! hatching and release success rate with this project.
During the 2024 season, we collected 15,477 olive ridley eggs and 13,953 went back to the sea! just over 90%!!!!
Through the kind donations of all of you that trust in our efforts we were able to rescue 134 full nests from being sold and consumed. We were able to conduct the ever successful Parlama Rally which yielded over 4,500 eggs being rescued and willingly brought to us by local communities.
This is what success looks like. Thank you for being part of it and see you in the next project!
