Shravan grew up in the Bhavani Nagar slum in Satara, India. His childhood was marked by loss and neglect – his mother left him when he was very young, and after his father remarried, his stepmother paid little attention to him.
At school, Shravan struggled. Even in 4th grade, reading and writing felt impossible for him. Reading aloud was the hardest – he stuttered, and the other children laughed. Out of fear and shame, Shravan withdrew further and further into himself.
But in March 2025, everything changed. Shravan began attending the Savitri Center regularly. There, patient and creative teachers discovered his spark of curiosity. They introduced him to learning through imaginative games and playful activities. Slowly, Shravan found his way into reading. Step by step, his skills improved – and his stutter began to fade.
Today, Shravan reads with growing confidence. For the first time, he feels proud of himself – and dares to dream of a brighter future.
Your support makes this transformation possible. With your help, children like Shravan can overcome fear, discover their talents, and build a life full of opportunities.
