Help us feed animals of Ukraine!

We are pleased to report that 1313.2 kilograms of pet food have been purchased and delivered to support three animal shelters in Ukraine.

• One shelter is located in Ivano-Frankivsk,
• One in Zaporizhzhia
• The last one in Khmelnytskyi

Together, these shelters currently provide care for 644 dogs and 239 cats.

This contribution represents a vital lifeline, as the ongoing war continues to place Ukrainian shelters under extremely difficult conditions. We extend our sincere gratitude for such significant support, which helps ensure that these animals receive the nutrition and care they desperately need.

 But the need is far from over. Every donation, no matter the size, helps feed a hungry dog or cat and gives them a chance to survive another day. With your continued support, we can keep hope alive for these animals until peace returns.

This May, we’re excited to share a critical project underway in regions of Cameroon that have been deeply impacted by the Anglophone Crisis. This conflict, marked by armed violence and human rights violations, has forced 900,000 people to flee internally and another 60,000 people to seek refuge abroad. 

 As countless families remain displaced and in distress, the need extends beyond basic essentials like food and shelter—there’s also a pressing call for support that nurtures their mental and emotional well-being. HUMANITY FIRST ASSOCIATION OF CLEANERS (HUFAC) is determined to help answer that call holistically. 

Their featured project, Enhancing Mental Well-being for IDPs in Cameroon, provides relief to affected families through a holistic approach that promotes emotional recovery and economic empowerment. They work closely with community members and local partners to identify the most urgent needs in these areas.

As part of their efforts, they’ve recently launched a Mental Health First Aid training program. This initiative will equip 20 local volunteers with the skills to recognize signs of trauma and provide essential emotional support to others in their community. Recognizing that emotional well-being is deeply tied to physical health and safety, HUFAC is also distributing food and hygiene kits, providing children with school materials and tuition support, helping families find safe shelter, and offering small startup capital to help displaced families begin rebuilding their lives.
