A Promising Start

Aaron, 23, is studying to become a PE teacher
Aaron, 23, is studying to become a PE teacher

Thanks to your support, 108 talented students began the 2025 academic year with the help of Fundación Integrar’s university scholarship program. Sixty-two of them renewed their scholarships after a strong academic performance last year. The other 46, selected from nearly 1,000 applicants, are just beginning their university journeys. Seventy percent are women.

This year’s group shows a shift in academic interests. Health-related careers attracted 20% of students; Education and IT each drew 9%; and an impressive 26% chose science and technology fields like Biotechnology, Geology, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Engineering, and Data Science. Fewer students selected Business (7%) or Law (4%), a significant change from past years.

Most are the first in their families to attend college. They are navigating unfamiliar territory,  and they’re doing it with courage, talent, and your support.

Meet Aaron and FlorenciaAaron: Breaking Barriers in Fuerte Apache

Aaron, 23, is from Fuerte Apache — a densely populated neighborhood with high rates of poverty and violence. He lives with his mother, stepfather, and three sisters. His mother, who recently finished high school, works as a street food vendor. His stepfather does maintenance at a local shop. One sister works in a shopping mall after leaving school early; the other two are still in primary and secondary school.

To help support his family, Aaron works four to six hours a day as a PE teacher in a municipal violence prevention program for at-risk youth. For him, it’s more than a job, it’s a way to inspire others and show what’s possible.

Aaron started a university degree in Physical Education. For him, education is not just a path out of hardship — it’s a way to give back. He wants to become a teacher who inspires the next generation to believe in themselves, just as others believed in him.

Florencia: Grit, Focus, and Forward Momentum

Nineteen-year-old Florencia lives with her mother, stepfather, and two brothers. Her mother runs a food stall at a local fair, supported by Florencia’s twin brother, who’s finishing high school. Her stepfather juggles jobs as a technician and delivery driver. Most of the family’s income goes toward therapies for her younger brother, who is on the autism spectrum.

Florencia has always been drawn to technology. While still in high school, she completed free courses in coding, software testing, and front-end development. Determined to pursue a future in tech, she applied for the Integrar Scholarship and is now studying Information Technology at UTN.

Her hard work is already opening doors: she recently secured a six-month internship as a software developer, working full-time while continuing her studies.

What You Make Possible

For most of our students, starting university is not just a personal milestone, it’s a first for their entire families. Thanks to your support, their potential becomes a possibility, and your generosity sends a clear message: their future matters.

When young people with talent but limited resources are given the chance to thrive, the impact goes far beyond individual lives.

You’re not just funding scholarships, you are investing in one of the world’s most valuable resources: human talent.

Thank you for believing in these students, and in the future they are working so hard to create. None of this would be possible without you.
